WHICH ONE IS HIKARU?

BioCharacter: Hitachiin Kaoru

Series: Ouran High School Host Club
Kaoru and his older twin brother Hikaru were born into a wealthy family. It is perhaps because of their upbringing that they looked down on other people. They believed that every one else were idiots, especially since no one could tell the two apart (thus started the “Which One is Hikaru?” game). Their world was very small, until Tamaki, an upperclassman and transfer student, invited them to join the Host Club, which they reluctantly do when Tamaki was finally able to tell the two apart for the first time.
Once they were adjusted to the activities of the club, the two became much happier. They had gained new friends and respect, and the girls all love it when they show off their “brotherly love.” Because they’re the “Little Devil” types, they get into all kinds of mischief, even hanging all over each other in many shounen-ai convenient positions. Several times they play their infamous “Which One is Hikaru” game, where the girls would try to guess the two apart. The girls would usually get it wrong, but it never bothered the twins so much because it was now all good-clean fun.
Then along came Haruhi, a commoner girl on a scholarship ride to Ouran, who got dragged into joining the Host Club and pretending to be male after breaking an expensive vase. Hikaru and Kaoru immediately cling onto her, since she could easily tell the two apart from day one and that she is in their classes. The two also like to tease Tamaki by hanging all over the poor girl because to them it’s fun. Kaoru has noticed that Hikaru had possibly taken a liking to her and even went as far as to force the two into a date once. Despite his friendship with Haruhi, Kaoru wonders what would happen if his one and only brother was to go away with her or someone else one day. When and if that day comes, Kaoru continues to goof off with his sibling and have as much fun as he can.
